After their fathers death - now the sons plan to go to Qatar
In May 2020, Delowar Hossaini's body returned to the capital Dhaka. When he suffered a stroke, he was taken to a hospital, but his life could not be saved. The family says it was his second stroke since he started working on the irrigated farm. - After the first one, he traveled home for a while to recharge, says the widow Nasrin Akhter. The family received compensation from the company and the government in Bangladesh. With that money, the family became debt free. As soon as her two sons, who are now in high school, have graduated, they both plan to travel to Qatar.

Delowar Hossain was taken to a hospital in Qatar in February 2020, where doctors operated on him but his life could not be saved. He died from a stroke. The second after starting work at one of Qatar’s irrigated farms.
“After that stroke he came home for a time to recover,” says the widow, Nasrin Akhter, who lives in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
She says they received compensation from both the employer and the Bangladesh government. With the money she paid off the family’s loans. As soon as her sons finish high school, they are planning to go look for work in Qatar themselves.
