Ever since Qatar was awarded the 2022 FIFA World Cup, thousands of migrant workers have died in the country. In search for answers we sent out local journalists to collect stories directly from families of migrant workers in Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. You can now be their voice.
We want you to tell the stories of the people behind the statistics and discuss their working conditions. These are people who never got a chance to return and see their loved ones again.
We want you the spread the stories about desert heat and dangerous working conditions. About unanswered questions and unexplained causes of death. But also, what it meant financially to lose the family’s main breadwinner.
We hope that this collection of human stories will ensure that these people are never forgotten. Read more about how you can be their voice.
