Migrant driver died of "heart attack" in Qatar
Mijanuar Rahman had been working in Qatar as private driver for eight years and recently changed employer. The widow Mosa Arifa Laizu says that her husband was in good health while he was in Bangladesh and that there where no record of heart disease while he lived in his home country. – It it hard for us to believe that MIjan died of heart attack in Qatar, she said.

Mijanur Rahman died on December 28, 2019 in Qatar at age of 34. According to his death certificate the cause of death was “cardiac arrest”.
When Mijanur arrived in Qatar nine years ago his monthly wage was Qatari Riyal 300. But the last months his wage had increased to 1000 before, said his widow Mosa Arifa Laizu.
Mijanuar Rahman had been working in Qatar as private driver for eight years and recently changed employer.

– It it hard for us to believe that MIjan died of heart attack in Qatar, she said.
Mijanuar Rahman hailed from Moulvibazar district in Bangladesh. His body was repatriated thanks to that the employer payed for it.
The employer has also paid the dues of BDT 84000 (USD 1000) along with the dead body.
However, the bereaved family has not yet received any benefits of insurance or compensation from Qatar.
