Cause of death: "Heartfailure"
Mosharaf Hossen decided to migrate to Qatar to fulfill his dream of lifting his family out of poverty. For five years he worked as a mason at different construction sites but newer got payed on a regular basis. “The sudden and untimely death put us, a five-member family in dire hardship and debt bondage,” says Mosharaf’s widow Josna Begum. Her husband died on August 8, 2018 at the age of 38. The official cause of death was “cardiac chock” according to his death certificate.

Mosharaf Hossen decided to migrate to Qatar to fulfill his dream of lifting his family out of poverty. The wage in Bangladesh was low and he dreamt of a better wage in the richest gulf nation. A local broker helped him migrate to Qatar for $5892.
The money was a loan from a local NGO.
For five years he worked as a mason at different construction sites but newer got payed on a regular basis. His last employer was the construction company Young Trad. His earnings where so meager $176 per month, that he couldnt support his familyback home who still lives in Bahanganj village at Bohanuddin upazila of Bhola district, in the south of Bangladesh.
“The sudden and untimely death put us, a five-member family in dire hardship and debt bondage,” says Mosharaf’s widow Josna Begum.
Her husband died on August 8, 2018 at the age of 38.
The official cause of death was “cardiac chock” according to his death certificate.
Mosharaf’s widow Josna Begum said that a Bangladeshi co -worker told her that Mosharaf fainted while working on a construction site. After that he was taken to his room for few hours and later on sent to a hospital in Doha where he was declared dead.
She says that her family did not get any compensation from Qatar and that life is hard with three children.
Mosharaf’s 21 year old elder son Abdus Salam says that the situation now has pushed him to leave the village and search for a job in the capital city of Bangladesh.
